AIDS Connecticut, Inc.  |  Hartford, CT

Overview

ACT builds sustainable, accessible, and high-quality systems and services dedicated to eliminating health disparities for people impacted by HIV/AIDS. The Syringe Services Program is a harm-reduction service that encourages injection drug users to dispose of used hypodermic needles in a safe manner. This reduces the transmission of blood borne pathogens and the number of needles discarded in the community. Both syringe service sites (Hartford and Middletown) now offer Naloxone and overdose response education. Please call or visit one of our sites (phone numbers and schedules below) to learn more about this program.
