Family and Medical Counseling Service, Inc. (FMCS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located east of the Anacostia River.The mission of FMCS is to employ state-of-the-art community-based approaches to providing comprehensive services that promote the emotional and physical health of families and individuals, regardless of income or social status. The following principles form our dedicated, client-centered approach to service delivery. We are committed to providing culturally sensitive, compassionate, quality care and support services to our clients in the communities where they live. We believe that serving our community most effectively requires a unique knowledge of and responsiveness to the changing needs of our fellow residents. We strive to link and combine resources with complimentary area-based healthcare agencies in a service network that provides our clients with the maximum benefits in the most cost-effective manner. Harm Reduction Vending Machines:
Our Harm Reduction Vending Machines are located at the following three locations:
Our three harm reduction vending machines provide lifesaving tools such as NARCAN, Fentanyl testing strips, clean syringes, and hygiene and wellness products.
