Stay HARMless is a peer-led harm reduction and public health initiative dedicated to closing critical gaps in access to lifesaving services for individuals impacted by substance use. Grounded in dignity, safety, and evidence-based practices, Stay HARMless meets people where they areāboth geographically and in their recovery journey.rnrnOur work focuses on delivering mobile outreach in underserved and high-risk communities, providing sterile supplies, naloxone, fentanyl and xylazine test strips, hygiene kits, and education to reduce overdose and prevent the transmission of infectious diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis C. Through partnerships with public health agencies and community organizations, we also connect participants to HIV and Hep C testing, treatment providers, recovery supports, and essential social services.rnrnAs a peer-driven program, Stay HARMless prioritizes trust, relationship-building, and real world experience to engage individuals who are often disconnected from traditional systems of care. We work at the intersection of harm reduction, recovery, and public safety, supporting immediate risk reduction.rnrnIn addition to direct services, Stay HARMless is committed to community education, advocacy, and cross-system collaboration with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and local governments to create sustainable, effective responses to the overdose crisis.rnrnBy combining outreach, prevention, and connection to care, Stay HARMless aims to reduce overdose deaths, improve health outcomes, and strengthen communities across Northwest Georgia and beyond.
