Overview
Wilkes Recovery Revolution, Inc is a nonprofit Recovery Community Organization started in 2016 whose mission is to create a community where recovery is possible for all through restoring hope, repairing lives, and rebuilding the community. Wilkes Harm Reduction Collective was established in 2021. We believe that those who use substances deserve and require the same access to services and programming as those who are abstinent in their recovery. This program offers overdose kits, syringe access services, supplies and training for safer use, fentanyl testing strips, wound care kits, and personal hygiene supplies. Being housed in the heart of our operations allows for immediate and direct linkage to resources and care for our participants, as well as the opportunity to participate in our other programming. We recently expanded our operations to include a Mobile Recovery Health Unit that has the capability to provide all services currently being offered at our fixed site. The Mobile Unit functions as a fully stocked SSP offering Naloxone distribution, syringe distribution and return, safe supplies, and Harm Reduction services. The operator of the Mobile Unit is also a NC Certified Peer Support Specialist, capable of providing Recovery Coaching, resource and benefit navigation, employment and education support, and crisis assistance.
